Tuesday at fair play flea market

And the adventures keep getting better and better. I have been going to yard sales since I can remember, my mother used to take me since I was a kid. At that young age though, I was only interested in finding toys, as my daughter is now only interested in. My tastes have taken on new meaning of course. Now I search, not only for clothing for myself and my kids for the new seasons, but also for my new found loves. Reselling in my Fiancé’s online shop and also to find those all time “bargains” or those Hidden Gems we hear about so often on our favorite shows we watch.

We started watching these shows (see the list below) and we fell in love with antiques and we just wanted to learn more. We have seen every episode available on YouTube, Hulu and any other online avenue and we just can’t get enough. Some of the Great bargains we have managed to come up with you wouldn’t believe.. There is this one vendor that must buy up truck loads of stuff from shipments that have been damaged. Well, he picked up a bunch of electronics and children’s toys (and other things I didn’t figure I could afford this time around) I went through the children’s toys and found a couple children’s digital camera’s.

I remember my daughter had been telling me she wanted one so that she could take her own photo’s and video’s. This would be good so she wouldn’t be using mine anymore. It just so happened that he only wanted $1 for each of them.

He said he wasn’t sure if they worked. NO box, just a manual taped around the camera. So, what’s $1.. so I bought both of them. Took them home and put in some batteries. Tested them out. Both of them tested out and worked great. So. Gave one to my daughter and am selling the other one in my Fiancé’s store. How’s that for a bargain. It should sell for around $15..

That is what I call a profit. That same day I found a gorgeous Guess Purse and bought it for $4 and it should bring me at least $20 or more (I’m hoping for $45 – 50 I will edit this post and update you on it once it sells). That too is a great Profit…

I’m very excited to see what Next Tuesday will bring. I do hope I’m feeling up to it. This past Tuesday I was so sick and couldn’t go. It seems I only get to go once a month, the other days of the month I seem to be sick, or one of the kids are sick or something keeps me from getting to go. We are planning on hitting yard sales this weekend too. Wish me luck on my new adventures..

Oh yeah.. The list of shows that we watch and have learned so much from about antique and what to look for.. Are: American Pickers, American Restorations, Pawn Stars, Cajon Pawn Stars, Antique Road Show, Auction Kings and Natural Born Dealers.
