I hollered at him, “it’s here” and he jumped back.. “what is”. I said, the “body shaver”… “For who” he asked…” for you..” I said.. “Since when?” he asked. Of course I laughed… the moral of that short story is, ALWAYS disclose your intentions with your other half, when you have a product you would like him or her, to use BEFORE it arrives… Although, in my defense, I did talk to him about this product several days before, during several occasions even. But somehow, his 46 year old brain chose to forget each time that we talked about it.

Well, that night he climbed in the shower to try out that wonderful new Philips Norelco body shaver.. He begged me not to disclose any real details, of say, which body parts he chose to shave. I can divulge however, that I am very pleased with the outcome no matter what his opinion is… *I say with a large grin on my face*

Q: A Moms Rantings – So how did the Shaver feel?

A: The shaver is excellent at getting a very nice close shave. Once you know how to use the thing. I really should have read the directions first before I tried to use the thing the first time. It pulled my hairs out first time around. After that it was smooth going…

Q: A Moms Rantings – How does it feel compared to a disposable razor ?

A: It does not leave the skin feeling like it has gotten TOO close. Like when I scrape too close on my neck and get those red bumps from getting too close. Razor burn. ( You know, like you girls often say it does with razors on your legs when you get razor burn..)

Q: A Moms Rantings – Could you explain what the shaver felt like using it?

A: The End of the shaver pivoted and moved with the divots and angles certain parts of my body quite well and it flowed pretty good. It made me feel nice knowing that I could trust the shaver wasn’t going to cut me like a razor would.

A Moms Rantings: MY THOUGHTS: He went on to explain to me, that despite his horrified thoughts that he would be ‘itchy’ from shaving down to bare skin “NO HAIR”. (don’t ask me what gave him this idea) he was very pleased to find that after 36 hours there was no itching to speak of. He was extremely nervous for the 36 hours and didn’t relax until this time period was over. During which this entire time I tried to re assure him that he was going to be fine, as us Women have been dealing with this for YEARS… and we have not had an Itching problem.. lol..I highly recommend that if you have a man that doesn’t read directions. Please, sit him down and read the directions to him, twice if not 3 times before you allow him to use this device. so that you will not have to go through hearing him say. OUCH that hurts, Why does that hurt.. and so you won’t have to yell into the bathroom, “ Are you sure your doing it right?”, “ Did you read the directions?” Please. For you own sanity.. Or better yet… PUT on a skimpy Bikini, set up the video recorder, video tape yourself reading off the instructions and then, and ONLY then he will get it…. lol…

A funny thing that I will tell you about this experiment… My man is one of those men that you typically hear about that tells the stories about how a product doesn’t work like it supposed to… But then when you ask them all types of questions and they look baffled, then you ask them “Well, didn’t you read the instructions?” and he say’s “NO!!” I figured I would just use it and it would work like it’s supposed to. or he would sometimes say…” I’m a man I don’t need to read the instructions…” Yeah.. That’s my man.. Needless to say.. You can imagine how this project came out.. HMMMM.. Yeah.. let your imagination go wild…… ….. ….. ……
