Even today in these times of desperation you know that you can count on your community of neighbors and friends to pull together.  This movie is definitely a tear jerker and heart warming fall short In the description in my opinion. My heart felt a burst of heat as it warmed and made me feel a great appreciation for what I have right in front of me. You feel overwhelmed with emotions realizing that you should grab your loved ones and tell them you love them because tomorrow they could be gone. This family, and so many just like them have to deal with this type of tragedy on a daily basis and we take so many simple things for granted. It would do us good to remember that even in tough times, there are those that have it worse than us..

This movie does good to remind us that our problems are nothing compared to others.

In 2010, singer/songwriter Matthew West asked his fans to send him their inspiring true stories so he could turn those stories into songs. Among the thousands of submissions he received, there were three separate letters about the Locke family and the community that came together to support them. Moved by the letters, Matthew wrote “One Last Christmas,” which inspired the filmmakers to share the story with an even wider audience. Premiering on GMC last December, The Heart of Christmas became the most-watched World Premiere Movie in the history of the network, drawing 3.6 million viewers.
