Post Review:
Ice Cream Machine seems stable, motor is way quite loud though. Same as I remember as a child. I had imagined since it’s an indoor machine and not meant for outdoor use, that the companies would have found a way to make it a bit quieter.. I think that should be looked into. I don’t look forward to using something that is that noisy.
The manual states that the machine takes up to 45 minutes to create ice cream if used as directed and that is what my experience was. We used it as directed. However, I found that the Motor kept slipping. There were not proper grips for the motor to stay connected to the outer tank / where the inner tank sits While ice and rock salt surrounds the inner tank..
anyway, it came loose a few times and I thought that the designer could have done a better job in designing it to attach better to the outer tank so that it wouldn’t slip out like it did. The outer tank / bowl is made of a very thin / flimsy plastic in my opinion and easily bends and moves, warps. When the inner tank would get hung up on the rock salt and ice and jerk the tank to get loose it was a bit frightening because i was afraid it was going to jump out of the tank a few times..
All in all, it survived, I survived. It made the ice cream as it stated it would. The motor stopped when the manual said it would. The Ice cream was fabulous. It tasted fabulous (all thanks to me and the pre-cooking and my skills as a great cook.. NOT because of the machine though).
