Getting organized – behind the scene’s

It’s a Modern day and I’m a modern girl.. a Geek mom if you will… my youngest daughter is 10 going on 30 and she is all about the techno world. I am quickly teaching her survival technique’s in two different worlds. 1st in the world of no modern technology where nature is her friend and electricity does not exist.. “say it isn’t so” and 2nd of course (and admittedly my favorite) the modern world of technology where if you don’t have a smart phone, tablet, iPad or laptop computer at the least you are not part of the modern world.

I will save the survival in the Non techno world for another day. But I will talk to you today about what you can do to help you stay sane in todays busy busy world… Us mom’s, women of today’s busy lifestyles as it were, need ways to keep ourselves ‘together’ and ‘sane’. I am always on the lookout for modern *Techno* ways of doing this. Getting organized is and always has been a challenge for many of us, all over the planet and NOT just for us women either.

My Friends over at Staples.com gave this awesome Samsung Galaxy Tab 2, and I gave myself the challenge to discover just how many ways I could get organized using my New Techno gadget… For the last week I have been downloading apps like there is NO tomorrow. Needless to say I have yet to put a single HIT Song on here… I am very ashamed of myself at this point ( Embarrassed smile ) Just kidding of course.. About being ashamed that is… Unfortunately, Music is not my top priority…

My family is though… So I was In search of how to get my family organized using my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2, to my surprise there were many apps for doing just that.

well, then I figured, since the family was squared away, what about me.. How about me and my home life? so I found my favorite online magazines, The apps are:

Then I figured, well, what about my day job, I am a blogger and what about when I head out with my fiancé to go on our day trips to the flea markets ect ect, or day trips to Kansas and such. I get so bored and sometimes it sets me behind on my blogging… I never knew that I could do my blogging on the Galaxy tab.. I found that if I could get Wi-Fi access I could login to my WordPress because there is a WordPress app that I installed onto my Tab, I can edit my blog, not just my posts, but my entire blog from my tab. It’s awesome. Plus, the Tab came pre loaded with some pretty awesome programs too, for writing up blog posts..

But that’s not all. Did I mention Social Media??? No.. Well, Before I had the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2, I had all of the Social Media marketed except for Instagram because I didn’t have a smart phone.. I have been kicking myself on that one… It just hasn’t been in my budget… And won’t be for quite a while I’m afraid. However, Now that I have the Galaxy Tab 2, I have gotten an Instagram account and Now I am part of the “ IN “ crowd Nerd smile … Seriously though, all of the Social Media accounts are at your finger tips, just like on the cell phones and computers. Easy to use and so much fun…..

MY THOUGHTS: So I have to say getting my family organized wasn’t my ending goal. Instead it was more like getting myself more organized. I now have myself (my daily life) more organized. With a calendar to remind me of all of my needs from Dr apts to school functions to my blogging needs. To game aps for Jade to play while we are on our way out of town, Social media to work on my Blogging while I am away from my computer. Several Recipe aps so that I can look up what I need while I’m at the grocery store, Coupon apps to help me save a buck also while I am at the grocery store, Movie aps for leisure Music aps that I have yet to use, a few camera apps so I can catch many people off guard and send pics to facebook and instagram and make them mad… But that’s about it.. My life in a nut shell all wrapped up on my Galaxy tab 2.
